Peter Facinelli is Samuel, an American soldier in 1918 who goes off to fight on the front lines in France during World War I, leaving his true love, Annabel (Charlotte Radford) behind in the UK. He’s determined to get back to her, so much so that even getting shot and dying can’t deter him. He manages to convince the ‘Almighty' to let him go back to England and reunite with Annabel, which he does, and the couple tries to resume life as normal. Only trouble is, Samuel is a ghost, and he begins to realize this just as he learn Annabel is with child. When the telegram finally arrives to inform Annabel that Samuel was killed in action, they can’t deny the truth any longer - they must let go of one another.
