There’s actually been three Betty White Shows on American TV over the years, being as, back in the 50’s and 60’s, Betty White was a great plug-in whenever a network needed a comedy/variety show. But in the 70’s, after a spell on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Betty White was given yet another show of her own, only this was a spin-off of Tyler Moore’s franchise. Over-the-hill TV actress Joyce Whitman (White) is the star of a crappy cop drama called "Undercover Woman." On top of her awful series, she has to deal with her moron roommate Mitzi (Georgia Engel), her uptight network executive Doug (Alex Henteloff) and the fact that her ex-husband John (John Hillerman) is directing her show. Caren Kaye, who is hot and was very naked in 1983’s My Tutor, co-starred.
