Born in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine, France, Agnès Jaoui moved to the romantic city of Paris when she was a child. She started attending drama classes, and by the time Agnès was nineteen, she was starting her acting career with a part in Le Faucon (1983). By the time the 1990s rolled around, Agnès was officially a superstar, leading the casts of such films as Cuisine et dépendances (1993) and Le Déménagement (1997).
