Born in Shibuya, Tokyo, this Japanese actress started appearing on screen in 1962 in a number of salacious roles. Some of the more notable titles include A Wanderer’s Notebook (1962), The Horrible Obsessions (1972), The Transgressor (1974), Deep Throat in Tokyo (1975), The Killing Machine (1976), and 0 Keikaku o soshi seyo - soridaijin yukai!! (1979). In 1971, Akiko played one of two female leads in the Japanese New Wave film Mandara (aka Mandala). It centers around two couples swapping partners on vacation who are targeted by a crazy Buddhist cult leader looking for some new sexually liberated followers, and Aikiko’s Yukiko definitely fits the bill! We see lots of T’n’A from this stunning starlet throughout the film, though some scenes are more aggressive than others. Akiko’s last appearance on screen was in 1998’s Memory & Desire and, sadly, not much is known about what she’s been up to since.
