England has Michael Caine, France has Gérard Depardieu, and Mexico has Ana Luisa Peluffo to appear in just about every other film made in the country. Now considered one of the living legends of the Mexican screen, Ana Luisa has made over 216 films since 1954--which includes some pioneering early nudity, like when she played a nude model for a mustached sculptor in La Diana cazadora (1957), also known as "Call Me Bad." This historic shot of boobs and butt was just the second ever nude scene in Mexican film history, and led to her becoming a household name south of the border. Ana didn't let her age get in the way of showing us some Technicolor titties, either. She was forty-six years old when she showed off her amazing ass and mature muffins in the gambling drama El Reventón (1975), before letting a lesbian bruja play with her hoo-ha in the horror thriller Una Rata en la oscuridad (1978). Ana Luisa showed all three B's after a shower in La guerra de los sexos (1978). She was 53 when she filmed the best nudity of her career in Cada Quien Su Madre (1982) which saw her lie in bed completely nude as Peluffo's puffies get covered in money, and doing some naked dancing at a Mexican toga party. After one more topless shot in Corrupción (1984), Ana Luisa hung up her hanger showing boots, and stopped corrupting the minds of Mexican youth with her body. Her last acting role came in a 2014 episode of Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi TV show. While American audiences may never have gotten familiar with Ana Luisa, Mexican cinephiles are very familiar with the abundance of erotic cinema with which she's been involved. It takes guts to be one of the first ever actresses in your country to take your clothes off onscreen. For her courage, bravery, and never ending ability to get us real Grande in the pants by shaking her Mexi-cans, we salute Ana Luisa Peluffo.
