Although Swedish sweetie Ann Zacharias made her debut in a little flick called Midsummer Sex in 1971, it wasn’t until she had spent the better part of the 1970s in European cinema before she actually showed some skin on camera. After turns in Don Juan (Or If Don Juan Were a Woman) (1973), France Inc. (1974), The Last Adventure (1974), and Touched in the Head (1974), Ann landed the lead role in 1976’s Néa, which was released as A Young Emmanuelle in the U.K., if that gives you any inkling as to what the movie is about. True to form, Ann appears nude throughout the film, including a few scenes that were quite ribald for the time period. These contain nearly-explicit sex, loads of gratuitous nudity, and even a brief masturbatory sequence. After bearing witness to all this, Mr. Skin was sure that Ann had broken the seal on a long and legendary nude career. Boy, was he wrong--at least about the former adjective. While her Néa performance is legendary unto itself, it was the beginning and the end of her exhibitionism. According to our skintel, Ann never got nude on screen again, although she continued to act regularly. That changed in the '80s, though, as she appeared in the films Flight Level 450 (1980) and The Magic Mountain (1982) and then disappeared for four years. Ann managed to find her way into the 1986 American miniseries Peter the Great before finishing out the '80s in a few obscure flicks. We haven't seen her since.
