Deadwood may be a brilliant offering from HBO, but it’s title sure is misleading. Perhaps there was a historical place called Deadwood, which is the setting of this realistic take on the classic Western genre, but watching the cowgirls ride their bucking broncos will enliven--not deaden--your wood.
