Bibi Andersson was one Swedish dish that could cook your meatballs. She was plucked from film obscurity by arthouse fave Ingmar Bergman in the mid '50s and put in many of his head-scratching cines, such as The Seventh Seal (1957), Wild Strawberries (1957), The Magician (1958), Persona (1966), The Passion of Anna (1969), and Scenes from a Marriage (1973). But you'll be scratching your little head watching her in the maestro's mam-sterpiece The Touch (1971). In its breast scene, she gets her bare back touched and torpedo tits kissed. But that wasn't the Swedish fish's first swim into onscreen nudity. That boobtiful day was in The Girls (1968) when she stripped out of her black lace bra and let her treasured chest finally take the spotlight. She got into sexual experimentation in the lez-a-thon Twice a Woman (1979), which, suffice it to say, is true to its title in terms of twice the naked female flesh. Outside of some forays into mainstream Hollywood fare such as The Concorde... Airport '79 (1979), Bibi remained an artsy Euro girl. She entered the '80s in the Swedish drama Marmalade Revolution (1980), finished the '80s in Fordringsägare (AKA Creditors) (1988), and spent the '90s and '00s in such flicks as Drømspel (AKA Dreamplay) (1994), Shit Happens (2000), The Lost Prince (2003), and Arn: The Kingdom at the End of the Road (2008). Unfortunately, she never again showed her Bibis on screen. Ms. Andersson passed away in 2019 at the age of 83. This full-figured gal lived a full life.
