Born on December 19, 1973, in Los Angeles, California, Blake went to school in Washington, D.C., and in her hometown. Later, she attended the Westlake School for Girls, which is where she started acting in school plays. She was also a Varsity member of the Equestrian Team. After high school, Black studied theater and dramatic literature at Yale University, where she continued acting in plays and received the Saybrook Master's Prize for the Arts. Her acting career went on to span over a decade, and it's still going strong. Her latest credits include works such as This Is Happening (2015), The Wall of Mexico (2019), and Horse Latitudes (2020).
