Born in La Falda, Argentina, this transgender star of stage and screen studied Social Communication at the National University of Córdoba before making her professional theate debut in a 2009 production of Carnes tolendas, retrato escénico de un travesti, a personal biodrama which combined her own blog writing and poetry by Federico Garcia Lorca. Camila countinued to work in theatre while also starting to appear on the screen in the film Mía (2011) and television shows such as La viuda de Rafael (2012), En viaje (2015), and La chica que limpia (2018). Camila also made a name for herself as a writer, publishing the autobiographical El Viaje Inútil in 2018 and the novels Las malas and Tesis sobre la domesticación in 2019. The latter was used as the basis for the 2024 film Thesis on a Domestication, which starred Camila as the film’s unnamed actress protagonist.
