Cathy DeBuono hails from Yonkers, New York, meaning she's the kind of lady you shouldn't mess with (at least, that’s what Mr. Skin is thinking, based solely on the fact that she’s a native New Yorker; please don’t read anything psychological into that, Cathy (Mr. Skin will explain his plea in a minute). The starlet grabbed a degree in communications from the University of Kentucky, then an associate degree in acting from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She made her debut as a paramedic on Chicago Hope in 1996, then landed work as a stand-in for Terry Farrell on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. That gig eventually led to her playing a bunch of characters in the series from 1997-1999, including the recurring role of M’Pella, a Breen prisoner, and a couple of different Klingons. From there she did a bunch of one-offs in series like Becker, Exes & Ohs, and 3Way, and did a few indie films like Out at the Wedding (2007) playing Risa, and as Danielle in And Then Came Lola (2009). She created, directed, and starred in the series We Have to Stop Now in 2009-2010, and was Cassie in the movie Crazy Bitches (2014), where she gets naked and lovey-dovey with two female co-stars. While she still acts in roles here and there, like playing Wanda in Along Came Wanda (2021), Cathy also grabbed one more degree: a Masters in clinical psychology from Antioch University. She’s a psychotherapist and specializes in forensic psychology. Which is why Mr. Skin doesn’t want her to analyze too hard anything he says.
