Born on April 29, 1945, in Miami, Florida, Cheri Caffaro was recognized for her good looks and hot bod from an early age. As a teen, Cheri won a Lifetime magazine Brigitte Bardot lookalike contest and went on to work as a model throughout the '60s. Cheri popped her sinema cherry with the start of a beautiful franchise, the wickedly hard-boiled detective series that starts with Ginger (1971). Director (and Cheri's husband) Don Schain freely shared his schwing, featuring his better half either half-naked or fully nude and in some moist-compromising positions. A Place Called Today (1972) followed, and Cheri reprised her role as "Ginger" in The Abductors (1972), a kinky classic of taboo sex and bound pleasures. An edited version was also released, her first foray into mainstream success, taming the triple-X of previous fare down to a still-randy R rating. With Girls Are for Loving (1973), Cheri remained an R-rated temptress and retired her "Ginger" character, giving new meaning to the term "blue movie." Savage Sisters (1974) and Too Hot to Handle (1976) closed the door on Cheri's carnal career. But in that short time, she created the bridge from the Ilsa skin classics to the campy come-ons of Andy Sidaris — definitely a bridge too far out! But Cheri came back again in 1988 with Ransom, followed by an episode of Extreme Ghostbusters in 1997 and a Ghostly Obsessions in 2004.
