If Cheryl Dempsey had the goal to be as naked as possible as frequently as possible while making her debut on the movie screen, then she achieved greatness with her role as the title character Fanny Hill in the softcore skinsational sizzler Fanny Hill (1999). Produced in the United Kingdom, there’s a lot of soft lighting, dainty music, and rolled stockings in the period piece based on John Cleland’s 1749 novel Fanny Hill: Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure—which was originally banned in the United States until 1966 (the book, not the movie). Fanny is a poor, innocent orphan who moves to London and becomes a prostitute. The book is filled with political satire and philosophies of sex, but the film is a bit more light-hearted, categorized as a comedy drama. Being a kept woman in a brothel, Fanny, or course, shows us her fanny (US slang for butt) and her fanny (UK slang for vagina) in many, many scenes. While the film doesn’t have an X-rating, and the sex is simulated (sometimes hilariously so), we still get to see just about every inch of Cheryl’s savory body in all its natural glory. And you should definitely drink it all in, since this was the blondie’s only credit on her acting resume—although, to be technical, Cheryl didn’t have any lines. The entire film is a narrated flashback told from Fanny’s perspective (Mr. Skin is pretty sure that’s not Cheryl talking), with no other dialogue. Although, Ms. Dempsey certainly has some expressive facial moves.
