Coco McPherson started out playing a Suburban Mom in the drama Postcards from America (1994), which was cowritten by artist and AIDS activist David Wojnarowicz. Next she was in another drama, this time about the famous gay lawyer who worked with Joseph McCarthy, Roy Cohn/Jack Smith (1994). Continuing on this vein, she landed in I Shot Andy Warhol (1996), based on the true story of Valerie Solanas, author of the feminist Scum manifesto and wannabe assassin of the artist in the title. But in that she gets topless for one of Warhol’s photoshoots. A real New York underground artist, she was last seen in New York Undercover, a TV series from the mid-1990s.
