Deborah Kerr put the Great in Britain. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and began her acting career way back in the 1930s. It started on stage in productions like Dear Brutus and The Two Bouquets. She made her film debut in Major Barbara (1941)--it should have been Blackout (1940) but her scenes were cut--and it wasn't long before she was one of Britain's preeminent actors. Deborah was such a sexy and strong presence in such films as The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943) and Black Narcissus (1947) that Hollywood came calling. She traveled across the pond to film The Hucksters (1947) with Clark Gable and never looked back. Ms. Kerr holds the dubious distinction of being the Susan Lucci of the Oscars, nominated six times without winning, until the Academy finally broke down in 1996 and gave her a lifetime achievement statuette. She was on her way to winning the booby prize for her wet beachside make-out session with Burt Lancaster in From Here to Eternity (1953). However, it was another pairing with Lancaster in The Gypsy Moths (1969) that delivered the first nudity of Deborah's delicious career. She and Lancaster get naked and suck face on a couch. Her ample treasure chest spills its golden goodies, and Lancaster gets a handful. Oddly enough, Deb used a body double for the butt shots. It's doubly odd that she showed her real butt that same year in a different film, The Arrangement (1969). That is one beautiful arrangement! Although Deb is now dearly departed, her dairies and derriere live on.
