Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Donna Mills stayed in the Midwest during her college years, attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she joined Delta Gamma. The sexy sorority girl left the school after one year, dancing in summer stock productions and eventually joining the touring cast of My Fair Lady, which brought her to New York City. Finally, this Midwestern gal was going to make a name for herself in the Big Apple (and she'd use her own little apples to do it)! But though she is blonde, blue-eyed, svelte, and possesses tightly compact chest nuggets, Donna's body of work presents a cautionary tale of squandered possibilities. A 1960s pioneer of the dramatic TV series, Mills caught the spotlight with featured parts in The Secret Storm (1966) and Love Is a Many Splendored Thing (1967). Though widely seen, these shows featured very few of the parts of Donna that were widely desired to be seen. The ambitious actress posed for two revealing Playboy spreads, and while the photos weren't nude, their presence in the most popular nudie mag indicated Donna's willingness to play naked. Starring as Clint Eastwood's girlfriend in Play Misty for Me (1971), Donna took a topless dip in a pond, an idyllic and erotic scene. Sadly, it was shot from a great distance, so we can't make out much, but if you zoom in, you'll see her right nip! There is no further filmed record of Donna's treasures. Her producers and directors must be taken to task for this wasted resource!
