The enticing Eva Avila is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She was born Eva Gougeon-Ávila in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada on February 25, 1987. Eva is best known for winning the fourth season of CTV’s reality singing competition Canadian Idol in 2006. Eva speaks English and French. Before winning Canadian Idol Eva worked at the post office as well as working as a beauty consultant. After winning Canadian Idol Eva signed a record deal with Sony BMG Canada and released her first single “Meant to Fly,” which held the number one spot on the Canadian singles chart for nine weeks. In 2006 Eva released Somewhere Else which sold 16,000 copies. In 2008 Eva released her sophomore album Give Me the Music.
