Her name sounds Italian but she was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the daughter of actor Hilton Prado and dancer Suely Antonelli. Her career started at just fifteen years old when she became a stage assistant on the children’s show Clube de Crançia in 1991 and then in 1995, Giovanna landed her first big role on the soap opera Tropicaliente.
