Philadelphia native Hari Nef is a transgender performer, writer and fashion model. The ambitious brunette left the City of Brotherly Love to study theater at Columbia University in the City of New York. While in the Big Apple, Hari walked the runway for both Hood By Air and Eckhaus Latta during New York Fashion Week in the spring of 2015. At that time, Nef was cast as Gittel on five episodes of the popular dramedy Transparent (2015). The Amazon original series featured Jeffrey Tambor, Gaby Hoffman, Judith Light, Amy Landecker, Melora Hardin, Carrie Brownstein, Brett Paesel, Alia Shawkat, and Hari’s bare chest! Such exposure paid off with a SAG Award nomination in 2016. A recurring role on the small screen thriller You (2018) followed, as did guest spots on the HBO comedy Camping (2018) as well as its anthology series Room 104 (2020). In between, Hari could be seen as Tinkerbelle in the biographical film Mapplethorpe (2018). If that’s not entertaining enough, Nef donned sexy swimwear in the black comedy Assassination Nation (2017). Set in a small town, the big cast of beauties includes Odessa Young, Bella Thorne, Suki Waterhouse, Anika Noni Rose, Jennifer Morrison, Susan Misner, and Maude Apatow. Speaking of hotties, Hari starred in a television commercial for the L’Oréal Paris True Match line alongside Blake Lively, Lara Stone and Xiao Wen JuSoon!
