Born in Suresnes, France, Irène Jacob made her stage debut when she was just 11 years old. Later, she attended the Geneva Conservatory of Music, earning a degree in languages. The rising intellectual became fluent in French, English, German, and Italian before attending at the Drama Studio in London and the prestigious Rue Blanche in Paris. Irène started her career in France with a role in Louis Malle's holocaust drama Au revoir les enfants (1987) and began a successful career in the land of stiff baguettes. But in the early '90s, she decided to share her deliciousness with the rest of the world and took on English-language roles with a part in the Steve Buscemi-helmed Claude (1993). Since then, Irène has appeared in such notable British and American productions as U.S. Marshals (1998), The Big Brass Ring (1999), and My Life So Far (1999). So far, we like what we see.
