In addition to smoldering onscreen, Jackie received wide acclaim and several awards for this portrayal. The brooding beauty also acquired oodles of accolades for her role as an abused runaway and epileptic in the controversial Romper Stomper. Her co-star Russell Crowe shot to stardom as well for his role as an inexorable bully and brute, not to mention neo-Nazi gang leader, in this cautionary tale of hate mongering with a love-triangle twist. You can also check out Jackie Mac in The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002) (if you're into chick flicks) and Deep Blue Sea (1999) (if you're into good-old-fashioned, cheesy Peter Benchley rip-offs . . . mmm, sharky).
