Any woman who appears as a character named Butch in a movie called Run! Bitch Run! (2009) deserves a closer look. Actress Jessica Elder took on that role, but not before she appeared in several other projects, including the comedy, drama, musical Viva (2007), an homage to the sexploitation films of the ‘70s, courtesy of writer, director, and star Anna Biller. Jessica plays a nudist feminist in the flick (which has tons of nude lasses and lads in the cast), and shares everything she’s got, including a heart-shaped cookie (whether it grew like that, or she trimmed it to look like a valentine, Mr. Skin isn’t quite sure, but appreciates the vibe anyway). The actress went naked again as Beverly in Joseph Guzman’s Nude Nuns with Big Guns (another great title; Guzman also did Run! Bitch Run!) in 2010, hauling out her own personal big guns for a lady-on-lady love scene. Jessica can also be seen as the cat hat girl in Cabin Fever (2002) with Jordan Ladd (she also worked as a makeup artist on the film), in the role of a cat dancer in Beginners (2010) with Ewan McGregor, appearing in Sironia (2011) with Tony Hale, playing a flower child in The Chicago 8 (2011) with Gary Cole, as a hipster in Crazy Eyes (2012) with Lukas Haas, and in the role of Bloody Mary in Spring Break ’83 (2022) with Joey Pants (Joe Pantoliano for those not in the know) and Morgan Fairchild.
