Every once in a while an actress comes along to delight audiences with a scene-stealing performance, an even more distracting figure, and then leave our lives just as soon as she came in. That’s the case with Joyce Molloy, who dedicated time back in 1970’s Tampa, Florida to film the role of Janis, the evil stepsister whose sexual tormenting of her young step brother Bobby sets in motion the events of the low budget horror flick, Satan’s Children. Janis just wants to sun that beautiful bikini body in peace, but her agitated father has other plans, and she takes out her frustration on Bobby, eventually sending him running when she attempts to narc on him for having marijuana. Bobby is attacked by four men and left unconscious by a country road, and then end ups falling in with a cult. When his only supporter is taken away and the cult turns on him, Bobby decides to get payback, killing members, and kidnapping Janis. Wearing a sexy negligee, we see Joyce bound and gagged in the backseat of a car before the revenge plan comes to its final fruition. It’s the last time we see Joyce onscreen, for it appears she never made another film, nor did she attend the cast reunion at the film’s 40th anniversary screening. We’re not sure wha happened to Joyce, but we hope wherever she is, she’s alive and well and can still rock a bikini.
