Surrey starlet Karen Mayo-Chandler kicked off her career on Britain’s boob tube. After playing Sandra on the series Flesh and Blood (1982), the brunette ingénue moved across the pond. During the 1980s and 1990s, the U.K. babe was generous enough to share her Britannias with American audiences at large. And, oh, how we Yanks got large whenever we’d see the sexy stunner strut her stuff on camera. As a model, she appeared in magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Playboy (wherein Karen flashed her flesh and dished the dirt about her relationship with Jack Nicholson). The pretty performer popped up as a receptionist in the blockbuster Beverly Hills Cop (1984) before trading in bit parts for bigger and more revealing roles. As such, she (and her nude boobs) could be seen in the R-rated comedy Hamburger… The Motion Picture (1986). Titillating turns in Death Feud (1987) and Take Two (1988) followed. The topless talent then proved how dead-sexy she could be in the thrillers Party Line (1988) and Stripped to Kill II: Live Girls (1989). Next came the chiller diller Out of the Dark (1989). At the risk of repeating herself, Ms. Mayo-Chandler revealed her rack again in the action flick Hard to Die (1990). The hardworking hottie continued to sizzle on film (976-EVIL 2: The Astral Factor), on video (Public Enemy), and on TV (Columbo) until, in an ironic twist of fate, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since Karen passed away in 2006, we’ve missed her and her girls.
