Little is known about exploitation kitten Karin Mani, but what Mr. Skin does know, he’ll gladly share with you here (his bios are your bios). After just two bit parts in TV series in 1978, she showed up as Tawny on the TV mini-series From Here to Eternity (1979), the little screen version starring Natalie Wood and William Devane. The buxom brunette played a social services office worker in the comedy movie Utilities (1981) with Robert Hays, and was a cast member in Cheeseball Presents, a TV sketch comedy special with Groundlings members including Phil Harman. She then took a lead as Billie in Alley Cat (1982), playing a hottie who single-handedly cleans up crime in the dirty city. She trains for her black belt in karate by day and practices her kung fu on scumbags who come out at night. And one minute into the film, she peels off her dress in front of a mirror, reflecting back at us a gorgeous set of knockers—because they knock around when that dress flips them up and down. Eventually, Billie is locked up as a vigilante, which means the bloody violence is punctuated with leeringly long shower scenes—not that Mr. Skin is complaining, as we’re treated to more knockout knocker views, plus glimpses of her lady triangle. She followed up that classic with the part of Marjorie in The Slavers, then as Janie Soon Lee in the second flick of the teenage-hooker, cult-hit series Avenging Angel (1985), which found her in the shower again showing off those pendulous breasts, round bottom, and pretty kitty. Since Mr. Skin promised to share everything…she did her own stunts in Avenging Angel, was an associate producer on Alley Cat, produced the segment “The Last Seduction” in Hollywood Erotic Film Festival (1987), and was a line producer for the Hall & Oates: The Liberty Concert TV special. And she was also a script supervisor for the Alien knock-off film Creature (1985). And that’s Karin.
