When supermodel Kathy Ireland playfully posed in soaking wet swimwear for the boob-tube special Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit 1989 (1989), it was no surprise she decided to pursue an acting career. But it sure made the pants here at Skin Central tighten in anticipation of seeing the beautiful brunette flash on film! Our desires were met when the hottie showed up in a red-hot bikini top during the sci-fi teen romp Alien from L.A. (1988) and nothing but a towel in the sports comedy Necessary Roughness (1991). By 1992, Kathy displayed her cleavage in Mom and Dad Save the World; donned a sexy swimsuit beneath a waterfall in Danger Island; and adorned her bodacious bod in barely-there black skivvies for TV’s Tales from the Crypt. The shapely babe revealed her comic timing and killer curves in the action comedy Loaded Weapon 1 (1993) wherein she wore a skintight black gown as well as a white mini to parody Sharon Stone. A recurring role on the primetime soap Melrose Place (1994) followed, as did parts in movies such as Backfire! (1995) and Miami Hustle (1996). Unfortunately, none of these projects projected her hidden talents since Ms. Ireland has the dreaded Sandra Bullock no-nudity clause in her contract. She even wears pasties when she’s supposed to be topless! At least, Kathy shook her body in skimpy costumes on Dancing with the Stars (2009).
