Some actresses take their work home with them by wedding their leading men. Take the case of ’60s starlet Kathy Kersh. After being named Miss Junior Rose Bowl in 1959, the beautiful ingénue made her boob tube debut on The Lloyd Bridges Show (1963). Next came the Arthur Hiller film The Americanization of Emily (1964) featuring Julie Andrews, James Garner, and Kathy’s credit as “3rd Nameless Broad.” Luckily, she also landed the recurring role of Marian Billington on the hit sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies (1964). By 1965, the pretty performer popped up on the TV classics The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Ben Casey. The latter coincided with her year-long marriage to the show’s star Vince Edwards. A newly-single Kathy then conquered the Batman (1966) cast via her titillating turn as the Joker’s hot hench-woman. The sexy stint led to a two-year marriage to the show’s Boy Wonder Burt Ward. But once the decade ended, all Kath had to her name were some Love, American Style (1971) guest spots. So, she joined former Lost in Space (1965-1968) cast member Marta Kristen in the lesbian drama The Gemini Affair (1974). Since it was her swan song, Kathy went out with a bang as she bared her breasts, butt and bush while bouncing on a bed! Alas, that was the end of Ms. Kersh’s onscreen adventures. But the brainy beauty attended business college and became successful in commercial real estate. That’s not exactly the happy ending Mr. Skin was looking for, but it will do.
