Once nominated for Outstanding Villainess, Laura Johnson made quite the name for herself when she was cast as Terry Ranson Harford Channing in the hit nighttime soap opera Falcon Crest. She played the part with evil relish for 80 episodes, appearing from 1983-1986 alongside the likes of Jane Wyman and Lorenzo Lamas (in his heyday). Away from the screen, she’s probably best known for being Harry Hamlin’s first wife (before Nicollette Sheridan and Lisa Rinna). Laura first caught the acting bug when she was a mere lass of 20 and appeared as Nancy Stein in John Cassavetes’ movie Opening Night (1977) with Gena Rowlands and Ben Gazzara. She’s since appeared in multiple films, including Live Wire (1992) with Pierce Brosnan, where she plays an insurance investigator; as Catherine Merrims in Fatal Instinct (1992) with Michael Madsen, where she gets all sexy in a wet T-shirt, then naked in bed with Michael, the man himself; as Grace Harrington in Trauma(1993) with Asia Argento, with her breasts beautifully bared once again; in Wes Craven’s Red Eye (2005) with Rachel McAdams (she also did a Wes Craven TV movie back in 1985, Chiller); playing Cheryl in Four Christmases (2008) with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon; and in the new version of Fame (2009) with Kelsey Grammer, as Alice’s mom. The lovely Laura has also done several TV movies, acting along such fantastic co-stars as Rick Springfield, Tori Spelling, and Justine Bateman, plus four movies with Bruce Boxleitner, and a bonus mini-series, The Storm (2009) starring James Van Der Beek. Mr. Skin is very impressed, indeed.
