At only four-feet-eleven-inches tall, Leslie Graves still looked like a rising star in the early '80s. She actually got her start acting at the age of 10 when she wasn't much shorter. Leslie’s dad was a theatre actor so she grew up around the stage and fell in love with it. Her first professional part was in the play A Cry of Players which was written by famed cyberpunk novelist William Gibson. She would go on to appear in Sesame Street and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Director James Cameron was savvy enough to cast the dark beauty in his first feature, Piranha II: The Spawning (1981) where she and a guy hook up in a waterfall causing her shirt to become transparent. The combination of thin material and cold water work their magic for some serious pokies. We get a better look at her left lactoid a little later in the movie when she is sleeping in a boat. She went on to a much smaller role in Death Wish II (1982), but Leslie was still unforgettable as an oblivious mega-meloned missy in a lotus position listening to headphones while wearing nothing but panties. Bronson might be shooting the place up, but it is Ms. Grave’s heavy hangers that steal the scene. She seemed set to finally break through with a prominent role on the CBS daytime soap Capitol. Instead, Leslie disappeared after a nude 1984 photoshoot for OUI magazine and a rumored drug overdose. She wasn't heard from again until news of her AIDS-related death in 1995.
