You know how superheroes tend to have alliterative names, like Bruce Banner, Peter Parker and Clark Kent? We may have to add Lynn Lowry to that list, for her decades of super-powered sexuality! Lynn is one of the first and best in the sexy category we like to call Scream Queens. What is a scream queen? Well, it amounts to a lack of clothing and the propensity to be cast by low-budget horror-film directors in everything that they do. Lynn worked as a bunny in one of the Playboy clubs before heading to NYC to make it as an actress. She debuted in the no-budget schlocker The Battle of Love's Return (1970), which was directed by and starred Troma Films honcho Lloyd Kaufman. But Lynn made her nude debut in I Drink Your Blood (1971), stripping down for a sexy Satanic ritual (if we were getting drained by a naked Lynn, you know where the highest concentration of our blood would be). Score (1972) featured her scoring with another female who straps on and straps in to ride the Lynn wagon, but then she scored a better-than-average role in Sugar Cookies (1973), which featured Lynn's perky pastries and all of her full-frontal glory. There's even a scene where she bathes with another woman, who looks just like her. Twinning. Sinning, Lynning. Lynn cemented her scream queen status with a role in The Crazies (1973), directed by screen legend George A. Romero, although it was remade in 2010. After a brief turn on the equally brief series How to Survive a Marriage, Lynn returned to horror flicks. She got the lead in Shivers (1975), where she portrayed a nurse who fell prey to a parasite that had been secretly introduced to her by a mad scientist, that made her turn into a sex-crazed maniac. She then, through her sexual exploits, infected the majority of the people living in her Canadian apartment community. Her boobs look especially big in Fighting Mad (1976) when she lies in bed with a lucky fella before the St. Louis born sex kitten sashayed her way to Cat People (1982), donning her boobs in a bit of were-cat transformation body horror. Lynn has steadily acted up to the current day, mixing work in current low budget horror with documentaries about the low budget horror flicks she was in that became legendary. Watching her old work, when we're done creaming we're gonna start screaming for more nudity from scream queen Lynn Lowry.
