California girl Margaret Markov showed a genius for appearing in 1970s sexploitation classics, and for hanging out with Pam Grier. Tall, blonde, and svelte, she shared her perky assets in more than one film, including a lead as Lynn Forrest in The Hot Box (1972), playing a nurse who leads a revolt of women imprisoned in a steamy jungle. There’s not much dialogue, but there is nudity, and Maggie’s melons are much appreciated. She showed them again as Karen Brent in the prison-escapee flick Black Mama White Mama(1972), spending almost the entire movie scantily clad or breasts out, and chained to Black icon Pam Grier, similarly clothed. She was Bodicia in the gladiator film The Arena (1974), also starring Pam—something the film’s higher-ups definitely noted, since the poster screamed, “Black Slave White Slave.” And, also, they were both naked again. Margaret actually made her film debut as Meg Felton in the biker-gang drama Run, Angel, Run! (1969), and made the cut as Polly, one of the beautiful ones in Pretty Maids All in a Row (1971) with Rock Hudson, Angie Dickinson, and Telly Savalas. Just as sunny and bright on the little screen as she is on the big one, the hot honey did gigs on The Young Lawyers in 1970-1971; Monty Nash, Cade’s County, and The Jimmy Stewart Show in 1971; The Sixth Sense in 1972; Hawkins in 1973; and on the daytime drama Days of Our Lives in 1997, playing the role of Olga #2. Don’t worry Maggie, you’re always #1 in Mr. Skin’s heart.
