Maria Machado started her acting career out in 1966 with an uncredited role in Paris brule-t-il?, but has been rather spotty with her on screen appearances, some times going several years between films due to her theatrical career. In 1970, she made her first English-speaking appearance in Promise at Dawn, which led to her being cast in the classic 1975 Peter O’Toole flick Rosebud. Considering that her career has never really hit any sort of fast-paced stride, she seems to simply be keeping pace, appearing in films like An American Werewolf in Paris in 1997 and Taxi-Girl, the little known follow-up to Tank Girl in 1992. (Not really. It was a French made-for-TV movie.) At any rate, Maria has only found time to show off some Skin but once, and that was in a bizarre scene in an equally bizarre movie, 1983’s One Deadly Summer. In it, she plays the mother of the lead character, who is played by Isabelle Adjani. The scene in question features Isabelle suckling her mother’s tit. This wouldn’t be so weird if Isabelle wasn’t in her late 20s at the time, of course. Watch it. It is bizarre.
