Hollywood’s B-movie producers find some amazing things when they head out to shoot films in exotic locales. And two of those most amazing things belong to Argentinean actress María Socas. Famous in her own country for her stage and television performances, the Buenos Aires-born babe found herself in several American productions when folks came scouting. She played Naja the Sorceress in The Warrior and the Sorceress (1984) with David Carradine, and was gratuitously topless throughout, presenting (and Mr. Skin does mean present, as in a gift) great jiggle action of her titillating twosome. María also starred as Acrasia in Wizards of the Lost Kingdom (1985); as Beatriz in Soldier’s Revenge (1986) with John Savage; in Deathstalker II (1987) as an Amazon Queen in a gauzy, see-through dress-cape concoction that leaves very little to the imagination; and as another Amazon Queen in Hollywood Boulevard II (1990). Outside of the Hollywood arena, she flashed a little flesh courtesy of her own country, in the movie Sobredosis (1986). In the world of Spanish-language television in Argentina, the brunette enchantress grabbed onto fame as Jorgelina in Grecia in 1987, Helena in Love Letters in Cassette (1993), Gabriela in El día que me quieras in 1994, in La condena de Gabriel Doyle in 1998 as Alejandra, Lucia in Husband to Go in 2002, starring in El precio del poderin 2002 as Sandra, in a big role as Dolores Azcurra from 2007-2008 in Mujeres de nadie, and as Mira in the mini-series El Maestro (2017).
