The marvelous Marina de Tavira is the granddaughter of the man who started Grupo Bimbo: the bakery conglomerate who now own Entenmann's, English muffin kings Thomas', Arnold, Boboli and Sara Lee. And since nobody doesn't like a tasty Mexican treat, his gorgeous granddaughter Marina had no problem making her mark on the big screen. Marina was an extremely accomplished stage actress who took a long break from working on the boob tube, after making her television debut as Eliana on Tentaciones back in 1998. A full seven years later, she made her movie debut in Hijas de su madre: Las Buenrostro (2005) also known as A Good Death Beats a Dull Life. Speaking of beating, in that one we get to see Marina's chest loafs and backside buns when she gets out of the shower unaware anyone's watching her, as well as practicing putting a bun in the oven with the dude who startled her. She moved on to dominate Mexican TV as Pamela in sexo y otros secretos, Bianca Alfaro in Capodocia, Patricia Lieberman on Ingobernable, and Begona Barraza on Comlices. But lest you think she's only a TV actress, in 2018 Mariana scored a "Best Supporting Actress" Oscar nomination for her work in Roma (2018). In the Alfonso Cuaron drama which is essentially an autobiography of his life growing up in Mexico City, Marina plays what is essentially Alfonso's mom, but never exhibits any Milfy behavior. Most recently, she costarred with Hugh Jackman in the sci-fi thriller Reminiscence (2021). It looks like we'll have to grab a slice of pound cake and reminisce on the time Marina de Tavira got out of the shower onscreen.
