Some jobs demand more propriety than others, and a career in the scholastic sector is unthinkable to any aspirant who is not entirely upstanding and staid. Brunette (though sometimes blonde), intensely earnest, and blue-eyed Missy Yager projects a solidity of character that would reassure any parent their child was in stable, responsible hands, which is perhaps part of why Missy is so effective in her academic role as Claire Ellison on the Fox high-school melodrama Boston Public.
