German model, singer, and icon Nico was born Christa Paffgen into a well-off family that owned a popular brewery in Cologne in 1938. At the age of two, she was evacuated with her mom to a town outside of Berlin to escape the bombings and violence of WW2. Her father enlisted in the war and was killed in action in 1942. In the late 1940’s, she and her mom moved into downtown Berlin and Nico went to school then got a job working as a seamstress. At the age of 16 she was discovered by photographer Herbert Tobias. During a photoshoot, he gave her the nickname Nico after his ex-boyfriend. The name stuck, she moved to Paris, and quickly became a star in the fashion world appearing in every major fashion magazine including Vogue and Elle while modeling for some of the biggest designers in the world. When she moved to New York, she got into the music scene and started singing in clubs. She met Rolling Stones guitar player Brian Jones who recorded her first song. After meeting Bob Dylan, she recorded a cover of one of his songs and ended up joining the rock band The Velvet Underground. About this time, she met and started working with Andy Warhol who put her in some of his movies. She went on to appear in the movie Strip-tease (1963) where she plays a dancer in a club. On stage, shaking it for the guys, she takes her top off and lets us see her righteous rack. A little later she tosses her top and stands in front of the crowd in just some skimpy panties. Those are some tosstastic titties! Sadly, Nico passed away in 1988 at the age of 50 when she suffered a deadly bike accident.
