There was a time in the early '90s when it appeared that Penelope Ann Miller was on the verge of superstardom. This L.A. native was the main female in a string of box office hits, and her giggly intelligence was something that audiences seemed to be taking a liking to. In films such as Kindergarten Cop (1990) and Other People's Money (1991) she proved that smart and normal could be very sexy. She also played off her seductive, sexual side in a couple of gangster flicks: The Freshman (1990), where she played the onscreen daughter of Marlon Brando, and Carlito's Way (1993), where she showed the world her marvelous mams go-go dancing in a tempting topless scene. Naked roles for this lanky lass dried up after that, although she did wear a revealing bejeweled bikini in the 1997 Godfather-inspired miniseries The Last Don, and she went on to a number of sexy turns that seemed to be inching ever closer back to nudity. These include her role in the little-known comedy film Chapter Zero (1999), in which Penelope displays both underboob and overboob in cat-print outfits, and her role in the Chevy Chase-led comedy Funny Money (2006), in which she gives us a taste of her sweet teets in a tropical bikini. Although Penelope didn't expose much skin in her recent films like The Artist (2011) and The Birth of a Nation (2016), she still presented herself as a mature woman who hasn't lost her sex appeal. Let's hope she keeps that up--and our crotches while she's at it.
