Although her acting career was confined to five films over less than a decade, Swedish beauty Pia Degermark definitely left an indelible—wait for it—mark on the entertainment industry! Pia made her film debut in the title role of the tony period drama Elvira Madigan (1967), earning a BAFTA and Golden Globe nomination for the Best Newcomer of the Year award and winning the Best Actress award at that year's Cannes Film Festival—she lost both the Globe and BAFTA to The Graduate's Katharine Ross! Two years later, Pia landed the female lead role in the Italian film A Brief Season (1969) opposite American television actor Christopher Jones, making his feature film debut. One year later, Pia could be found starring opposite Jones once again—along with British acting luminaries Ralph Richardson and Anthony Hopkins—in the John le Carré adaptation The Looking Glass War (1970)! When it came to nudity, the fourth time was the charm as Pia made her long awaited nude debut in her fourth film and her final feature film leading role, the Euro swinging vampire flick The Vampire Happening (1971)! In the dual roles of both a Hollywood ingenue and her deceased distant relative—who turns out to be a vampire Baroness—Pia went nude seven times throughout the course of this wild and crazy flick. Five years later, Pia made her final on screen appearance in the German television series Die Buschspringer, before retiring from acting. While we absolutely hated to see her go, there's no denying that with a nudity resume—and an ass—like hers, we loved watching Pia walk away!
