If you’re a fan of international skinema circa 1968 to 1972, then there’s a good chance you’re familiar with the sultry stylings of Pilar Castel. Veteran of several Italian jiggle flicks, the pert and perky Pilar knew her role and filled it quite fluidly. Starting, aptly enough, with The Sexual Revolution (1968), she traveled with The Nonexistent Knight (1969), had a Flashback (1969), made a stop at The Torture Chamber of Baron Blood (1972), and, in her final film, wondered What Have You Done to Solange? (1972). And it was in this last movie that Pilar peeled off the threads and got down with some full-frontal wonderment! Now gone from skinema, but certainly not forgotten, Pilar proved to be one of Italy’s most alluring exports from the hippie generation.
