Rebecca Gibney didn’t get a proper American debut until TNT’s remake of Salem’s Lot (2003). But lucky Australians have taken in the New Zealand-born beauty since she parlayed her modeling skills into a lead role on the family show Zoo Family (1985). Parts on other programs (All Together Now, The Flying Doctors, G.P., Stingers, Snowy) followed, as did a chance to star on the crime series Halifax f.p. (1994-2002) as the Armani-clad forensic psychologist Dr. Jane Halifax. Rebecca also landed the female lead of Julie Rafter on the family series Packed to the Rafters (2008-2013), for which she won a Gold Logie. If that’s not impressive enough, the boob tube babe has become one of Australia’s fave TV personalities as a talk show hostess with the mostest sex appeal! Yet, here at Skin Central, we’re partial to her part in the R-rated film Among the Cinders (1985) wherein the blonde ingénue bares her breasts, bush and butt on the sand. Now, that’s what we call a real beach bum! The skintastic actress proceeded to thrill audiences when she revealed her rack in the thriller Wicked Love: The Maria Korp Story (2010). Since then, Ms. Gibney has appeared in the romantic dramedy The Dressmaker (2015) starring Kate Winslet. Most recently, she’s reprised her role of Jane Halifax in Halifax: Retribution (2020).
