They say that "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," but lucky for us, the Vegas-born beauty Rutina Wesley made her way out of skeezy city and onto the screen. Rutina was born to be a star. Her father was a professional tap dancer and her mother was a showgirl. While attending the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts, Rutina studied dance at Simba Studios and the West Las Vegas Arts Center. But Rutina was craving a break from the big city, so she headed to Evansville, Indiana, for college, where she earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance. She continued her studies at Juilliard School in New York City and spent a summer spent at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Then, after a bit part in step dancing flick How She Move (2007), Rutina got her big break when the producers of the HBO vampire drama True Blood (2008) cast her as Tara Thornton, the character at the center of the novels on which the series is based. Mr. Skin is hoping that Rutina will follow in the footsteps of her True Blood costars and get nude soon, but so far, we've only seen Rutina in her undies. At least we get a peek at her cheeks when she appears in a sexy thong! Some of Rutina's other credits include The Cleveland Show (2012), Hannibal (2015), Arrow (2015), Queen Sugar (2016), and The Walking Dead (2019). We hope that this Vegas Vamp takes a cue from her showgirl mama and strips!
