Primarily an actress and director of the stage, Sabina holds an MA in Special Education from the University of New Mexico, where she was born and raised, as well as an MFA in Acting from the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts. The founder of the Latino theater company Teatro Nuevo Mexico got her start on the screen in 2005 when she appeared in the sci-fi film Zen & the Asteroid. Since then Sabina has had recurring roles on the television shows Madam Secretary (2019) and Snowfall (2019-2021), and returned to the big screen for Lolo (2021), Imani (2023), and 2025’s Serpentine Pink, where she made her nudecomer debut about thirty minutes in.
