Awww, how cute! That’s the initial reaction Mr. Skin had when he first saw the lovely Sabine Glaser on screen. And then she got naked and he had a different reaction. Born in Germany, the starlet’s career was predominantly in France in the seventies, with a few uncredited pop-up appearances in the ‘00s. (In between she had some kids, two of whom went on to be in a French metal-rock band, Enhancer.) For her first big-screen role, sexy Sabine chose the X-rated Sex-Shop (1972), where she played the role of Katty. It was a France, West Germany, Italy production shot in French, and the star was more than happy to drop her clothes for a titillating look at her delicious duo. With one X-rated film under her belt, Sabine must have decided one more wouldn’t hurt, and she played Agnès in The Assassinated Young Girl (1974). In 1977, she once again let the world bask in the glory of her bosom when she played Bernadette in the French film The Man Who Loved Women (1977). A more mainstream film, it was written by François Truffaut, whose script inspired the Blake Edwards’ American film of the same name starring Burt Reynolds. (Also, because Mr. Skin loves the details, Truffaut was an actor and rumor has it he wrote the film while on the set of Close Encounters of the Third Kind while playing Claude Lacombe.) Back to Sabine. With most of her work in France, with the occasional German title thrown in, the one flick you may have seen Sabine in was Marie Antoinette (2006), where she played a member of the court under Kirsten Dunst’s Marie. Ooo-la-la!
