Where do you go, what do you do after you’ve claimed fame as an LA Laker Girl, and as the Dirty Pop girl in the *NSYNC “Pop” music video? Why, you head to television, of course, and to the land of D parts in A movies, or bigger roles in B movies—just like Sandra McCoy did, and did it well, making a healthy career for herself for the first decade of the ‘00s. Beginning with walk-on roles in The Wayne Brady Show, Maybe It’s Me, Felicity, and General Hospital in 2001, she entered the next year as a dancer in Orange Country (2002) with Jack Black and Colin Hanks, and as a waitress in Scooby-Doo with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar. From there, her bitty roles became a way of life, and she took part in Like Mike with Shad Moss and Jesse Plemons and The Hot Chick with Rob Schneider and Rachel McAdams in 2002, Down with Love in 2003 with Ewan McGregor and Renée Zellweger, A Cinderella Story in 2004 with Hilary Duff, Crash Landing (2005) with Antonio Sabato Jr., and Deep in the Valley (2009) with Chris Pratt and Scott Caan. Her almost sort-of nude debut came as Elena Sandoval in Wild Things: Diamonds in the Rough, the straight-to-video second sequel to the original Wild Things (1998) with Denise Richards and Neve Campbell. While there are bare breasts involved, they are not actually Sandra’s, who chose to use a body double. She doubled again in the TV series Femme Fatale, playing Professor Kelsey Williams in 2012.
