After the stunning Sophina graduated from the University of Michigan, she moved out to the coast and immediately began getting roles on some hit TV shows like Strangers with Candy, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Hack, but it was a legendary sketch comedy show that really got her noticed, Chappelle's Show! After a handful of episodes of playing various characters on the beloved comedy she was able to to get some more recurring work on the small screen, most notably handling one of the leading roles on the long-running series Shark, where she played Raina Troy, and from there went on to be a regular face on Numb3rs from 2005-2010 as well. That alone is an impressive run on TV, but she didn't stop there, Sophina paratroops herself into shows regularly for one or three or five episodes and then moves on. She's been on The Good Wife, Bones, NCIS, Scream: The Series, Zoo, 9-1-1, Grey's Anatomy, the list goes on and on! She's a bonafide veteran TV actress and is definitely not going away any time soon, especially now that she is playing Ida B. on the BET series Twenties, the sexy older woman lesbian lover to the main character Hattie (Jojo T.
