It took three women to make Charlie's Angels a classic of '70s jiggle television. Three's Company only needed Suzanne Somers. (Sorry, Joyce DeWitt.) Suzanne was having a last laugh, too, since she originally lost out on the role of Angels's Jill Monroe to Farrah Fawcett. Suzanne established herself as one of L.A.'s sexiest '70s blondes, thanks to her work as a prize model on Anniversary Game, her quick but memorable appearance as "the blonde in the White Thunderbird" in American Graffiti (1973), a bouncy boustier scene in Starsky and Hutch and some poolside nudity in the Dirty Harry hit Magnum Force (1973). We felt awfully lucky checking out those chest cannons, although she was killed off too soon to get her name in the credits. In 1977, she landed the role that would bring her international fame, Chrissy Snow on Three's Company. After she got evicted from the show for demanding too high a salary, the success of her sitcom gave Suzanne a chance to get even sexier in the TV movie Zuma Beach (1978) and the big-screen film Nothing Personal (1980). With all due respect to her acting career, in the early nineties Suzanne became best known for opening her legs, grunting and sweating all over your television. That's because Suzanne became the spokeswoman for the Thighmaster, a sensual fitness device whose infomercials became legendary. This business success led to her most successful small screen return, as Carol Lambert on Step By Step. While a kid's show that aired on TGIF, there were plenty of subtle sex jokes between Suzanne and her TV hubby Patrick Duffy. An entire generation of young boys were introduced to the sexiness of Suzanne as the bouncy Milf stepmom, which probably explains a lot. Suzanne appeared on Dancing With the Stars, and has been a proponent of controversial, alternative medicines after surviving breast cancer. No matter what month it is, we're always hot when we see Suzanne Somers.
