In the sci-fi psychological thriller After the Dark (2013), James D’Arcy stars as Mr. Zimit, a philosophy teacher at an international school in Jakarta, Indonesia. Like all good teachers, Mr. Z likes to really challenge his students, and he presents his graduating senior class of twenty students with a thought exercise to prepare them for a future atomic apocalypse. At first, top student, Petra (Sophie Lowe), refuses to take part in the experiment, but with the threat of a lower grade, the difficult dame gives in. As the students begin to hammer out their top 10, the seemingly harmless experiment turns deadly, turning student against student in a fight for survival.
