It also features, Patricia Clarkson, an older hottie for the generation who finds Zooey a bit too zany. The move takes place in North Carolina, at dead-end mill town, where love offers the only passion and the hope of escape. Hey, it is based on a story by Paul Schneider, so don’t expect any happiness. But we could at least look forward to skin, right? Wrong. There are laughs, but no pat ending to leave the theater (or your living room) with a renewed sense of faith in mankind. Zooey is not even skinful, which would have gone a long way to giving us a brighter attitude, though she is seen in a hot tub wearing a T-shirt. That’s something. In fact, it’s quite a lot. We’re feeling better already.
