Director Greg Whiteley (already known for sports docs like Cheer and Last Chance U) followed the 2023-2024 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader squad from the cutthroat audition process to training camp to the locker room, and all the hard work and determination it takes to secure a coveted spot with the elite team lead by longtime director Kelli Finglass. The show reveals a a whole lot of cleavage, leg, and bare midriff thanks to the squad’s iconic outfits, but it uncovers even more - no not that, sadly. We’re talking about the fact that despite all the effort that goes into being a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, the pay is less than substantial and a lot of the women work second jobs to make ends meet. The franchise is just another example of wage disparity and the generational divide, summed up by former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Tina Kalina, whose daughter Victoria is a current squad member: “They look at it as a job, where us old-timers look at it as more of a privilege.” We don’t know what’s more disappointing - that these beautiful busty ladies bustin’ their asses like Reece Allman, Charly Barby, and Kelcey Wetterberg don’t have the privilege of a livable wage or that we don’t get the privilege of seeing more skin while they do it!
