Mandy Starr (Halsey) lives with her no-good boyfriend Dillon (Eric Dane) and her culturally confused son Calvin (Gavin Maddox Bergman), who is convinced that he was Sitting Bull in a past life, in the small town of Buffalo Falls, South Dakota. Mandy learns that Dillon plans to steal a Native American artifact known as the Lakota Ghost Shirt and sell it to shady antiquities dealer Roy Lee Dean (Simon Rex) for a hefty sum, so she decides to liberate it from Dillon and use the money to leave him and find a better life out there somewhere. But it turns out a waitress named Penny Jo (Sydney Sweeney) also overheard about the heist and now she and one of her diner regulars, Lefty Ledbetter (Paul Walter Hauser), are also strategizing a way to steal the shirt. The only one who doesn’t want the shirt is Calvin, so he tells the local Red Thunder Society, led by Ghost Eye (Zahn McClarnon), about his mother’s plan and gets taken hostage while Ghost Eye, Roy Lee, Penny Jo, and Lefty all go after Mandy and the shirt as they heads towards Wyoming. We admit all this hubbub over a piece of clothing is a little foreign to us, unless it’s the tight-fitting tee accentuating Sydney’s knockout natural endowments. We were also a bit focused on Halsey stripping down to her black bra and panties just over an hour in. When it comes to tops, we’re more about the lack thereof!
